Day 1 – arrival in Heviz

Day 2 – Heviz – Kesztely – Balatongyörök (approx. 35 km)
The city of Heviz is popular for its thermal baths and the largest natural lake with warm water in central Europe. Bike ride to the tourist town of Keszthely. Walk through the pleasant city promenade and the park at the palace of the powerful Festetics family. Transfer to Balatongyörök from where from the Szepkilato viewpoint there is a wonderful view of Lake Balaton, the volcanic mountains and the Tapolca valley.

Day 3 – Heviz – Little Balaton (approx. 55 km)
Lake Little Balaton until the nineteenth century was part of today’s Lake Balaton. It is an area of strict nature conservation. Through a wooden bridge you can get to the island of Kanyavar, where there are several observation towers from which you can watch both animals and the surrounding area. A visit to the Buffalo Reserve is worth recommending.

Day 4 – Heviz – Balatonfüred – Tihany (approx. 30 km)
Transfer by bus from Heviz to the spa town of Balatonfüred. Before starting the bike tour, walk along the coastal promenade. Bike ride to Tihany, visiting this beautiful village and abbey.

Day 5 – Balatonfüred – Veszprem – Band (approx. 32 km)
Today’s tour leads inland to the old episcopal town of Veszprem, also known as the “City of Queens”. Visiting the bishop’s palace and the Chapel of Queen Gizela, which this chapel served as a private place of worship for the bishop and the queens residing here.

Day 6 – Balatonfüred – free time
There is a possibility of a trip to Budapest or organizing another bicycle trip.
