Pilgrimage Krakow
1st day– arrival
Day 2– Krakow
Visiting the city of Krakow i.a. Wawel Cathedral, Royal Tombs, Chapel of St. Leonard,
the place of the first mass of Karol Wojtyła, St. Mary’s Church with the famous altar by Veit Stoss. In the afternoon: transfer to Krakow’s Łagiewniki – a visit to the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, a place connected with the life of St. Sister Faustina – author of the famous “Diary”. Her beatification and canonization was carried out by St. John Paul II.
3.day– Krakow- Czestochowa- Krakow In Częstochowa, we will visit the most important Polish Sanctuary at Jasna Góra, which was visited many times by John Paul II, both in the Krakow and Vatican periods. An opportunity to pray in front of the miraculous image of the Black Madonna.
4.day– Krakow- Zakopane- Krakow On the route to Zakopane, the opportunity to visit the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Krzeptówki, where there is a votive offering for saving the life of John Paul II.
Zakopane- the capital of the High Tatras, a well-known and popular excursion destination, distinguished by the characteristic costumes and customs of the inhabitants of this region. We will see typical wooden construction in the highlander style. We strongly recommend buying “oscypek” – typical cheese. At the end of the tour of Zakopane, we suggest a visit to the highlander village of Chochołów.
