PRINCELY RESIDENCES

From its more than 1000-year history, Poland has preserved a rich cultural heritage, shaped by various Eastern and Western European influences. We present places inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List: Wrocław – a cultural metropolis, historic Krakow with a unique architectural ensemble from different eras and the Karkonosze Mountains, rich in traditions, their history and nature of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Day 1 – arrival in Wroclaw

Day 2 – Wroclaw – city tour – Krakow (300 km) Sightseeing of Wroclaw. In the city of a hundred bridges there are masterpieces from different eras, and on the Odra River there are dozens of islands, including the cathedral island. The old town square is decorated with buildings from different stylistic eras. The magnificent Gothic town hall is now a vibrant place of culture. Aula Leopoldina is a brilliant masterpiece of baroque painting and sculpture. Further journey to Krakow.

Day 3 – Krakow – sightseeing Without a doubt, Krakow is one of the largest, most beautiful and most important monuments in Poland. The Market Square is the oldest part of Krakow. The cityscape is shaped by the two towers of St. Mary’s Church, the Cloth Hall and the small Church of St. Adalbert. The old town, surrounded by a green belt, encourages you to stay longer!

Day 4 – Krakow – Giant Mountains (370 km) Transfer to the Giant Mountains. The most valuable section of the Karkonoše National Park is under nature protection and together with the park on the Czech side has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve. Day 5 – Giant Mountains – Visiting the princely residences (130 km) During the tour of the Giant Mountains, we get to know old mansions and residences, some of which have been beautifully restored. The day is entirely dedicated to the princes: visiting the former seats of well-known noble families. We recommend: Karpniki – the former residence of Prince Wilhelm von Hohenzollern. After a coffee break at the castle in Łomnica, we go through Mysłakowice to Staniszowa, the former seat of the von Reuss family . Transfer to Cieplice Śląskie – Zdrój. Here you can walk around the SPA gardens.

Day 6 – Giant Mountains – departure
